DevOps

A developer who understands the entire service by directly experiencing everything from frontend to backend and infrastructure.

Brief Introduction

I am a developer experienced in infrastructure configuration and service development using Go, React, NodeJS (TypeScript), Kubernetes, and AWS. Believing that developer experience translates directly into work efficiency, I prioritize writing test codes and setting up CI/CD pipelines. Furthermore, I have gained experience in systematizing infrastructure operations, such as automating on-premise Kubernetes clusters using Terraform and employing GitOps workflows. I also have operating experience utilizing various external services like AWS, GitHub, and Cloudflare, with a focus on stability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

I also consider user experience vital. Through various full-stack projects, I've developed a habit of thinking from the user's perspective and have grown into a developer who understands the entire service from infrastructure to frontend.

Introduction

After entering university, I accidentally took a C programming class, where I became very interested in the process of writing and executing code. Despite the somewhat late start, I decided to change my major, and since the transfer, I've been building my skills through various individual and team projects.

I enjoy experiencing the entire process of a service from planning to development and deployment. Particularly, I've faced many trials and errors while configuring servers during the deployment process. Initially, I exposed the server to the outside by running it in the form of binary files on a Raspberry Pi, but later built a container-based server environment using Nginx and Docker. Further aiming to operate a Kubernetes cluster, I've directly configured RancherOS, Talos Linux, and have also worked with hypervisor environments like Proxmox VE. Additionally, by using cloud services like EKS and GKE and contemplating cost optimization, I was able to broaden my understanding of cloud infrastructure. Such broad-ranging experiences of tackling and solving issues have been a great foundation for my growth as a developer.

While learning various technologies and working on projects, I started wanting to create services that are meaningful to more people, not just results for myself. The root of this thought lies in my school experiences. Participating in UCC contests and showing entertaining videos to friends, or sharing software I made with those around me, gave me the joy of "the happiness of sharing." Enabling users to feel convenience and enjoyment through the services I create is the biggest value I pursue as a developer.
